Miriama completed her B.Sc. in Industrial Biochemistry at the University of Limerick. Following the undergraduate studies, Miriama has held Technical Chemist and Analyst positions in Quality Control laboratories in pharmaceutical and medical devices industries. In 2017 Miriama pursued an IRC funded Ph.D project in collaboration with Cook Medical under the supervision of Prof. Tewfik Soulimane and Dr. Sarah Hudson, where she conducted research into cellular responses to novel surface coatings of medical devices. Currently, she is responsible for the coordination and management of research activities and instruments within Bernal Biolabs. Miriama is experienced in mammalian cell culture techniques, high content imaging and a range of cell-based assays.
