YESBernal are delighted to welcome Dr. Christa Ivanova and Dr. Aurélie Vigne from Elvesys to the YESBernal Coffeenar,  “Join the Flow”

Elvesys Microfluidics Innovation Center (ELVEFLOW) is an innovative, self-funded company created by 3 microfluidic researchers in 2011 becoming the world leader of high-performance microfluidic flow control in only 4 years. ELVEFLOW has built up a team of highly qualified profiles with expertise in each field necessary to help researchers in their microfluidics research ranging from biological and medical applications to energy-conversion and automated high-throughput systems in the industrial scale.

Dr. Christa Ivanova

Dr. Christa Ivanova, Research & Innovation Manager at Elvesys, obtained a Molecular Biology degree at the University of Vienna, followed by a MSc and a PhD from the Vienna University of Technology in Microbiology and Genetics. She completed a 1.5-year postdoctoral research appointment at IFP Energies Nouvelles in Rueil-Malmaison, France, followed by a 2-year post-doctorate at the Institut Pasteur in Paris focused on the human microbiome. Her areas of expertise are chemical engineering, cell biology, and genetics. At Elvesys, she is managing international collaborative research projects focused on microfluidics for life science and scientific communication.

Dr. Aurélie Vigne

Dr. Aurélie Vigne, Elvesys Research Director Microfluidics, obtained a Physico-chemistry Engineering degree, followed by a double master degree in fundamental physics specialized in atomic physics and molecular, condensed matter and optics, followed by a PhD in droplet-based microfluidics. Her areas of expertise are droplet-based microfluidics, fluorescence detection and acoustofluidics.  Currently, she is in charge of the implementation of microfluidics in research projects at Elvesys and is involved in the supervision of PhD and postdoctoral researchers.
